Our story
Built from nine years inside small businesses
Lumigrid started in early 2026, but the problem it solves showed up years earlier.
Before Lumigrid, founder Ryan Balungeli spent nine years as a freelance web developer building sites for small businesses. The pattern was always the same: deliver a great website, and behind it the business was still running on copy-paste. Leads answered hours late. Invoices typed by hand. The same data re-entered into three different tools. The website was the storefront, but the back office was eating the owner's week.
When AI models became reliable enough to handle that work, the economics changed. Tasks that used to need a hire could now run as a workflow. So Lumigrid was built: an AI automation studio for small businesses that need their time back but can't afford an enterprise consultancy.
Lumigrid is founder-led and deliberately lean, and we work remotely from North Carolina. You work directly with the founder, supported by a network of specialist collaborators we contract per project when a build calls for it. Transparent pricing, delivery in weeks, and automations we maintain after launch. And we run on our own automations daily; they work because we depend on them too.
